The refrigeration principle of rooftop air conditioning units mainly includes the following steps:

Compression: The refrigerant is compressed in the compressor, and the temperature and pressure are increased.

Condensation: The high-temperature and high-pressure refrigerant gas enters the condenser, releases heat and condenses into a high-pressure liquid through heat exchange with the outside air.

Expansion: The high-pressure liquid is throttled and depressurized by the expansion valve, turning into a low-temperature and low-pressure gas-liquid mixture.

Evaporation: The low-temperature and low-pressure refrigerant liquid enters the evaporator, absorbs heat and evaporates into a low-temperature and low-pressure gaseous refrigerant through heat exchange with the indoor air.

Cycle: The low-temperature and low-pressure gaseous refrigerant is sucked into the compressor and compressed again into a high-temperature and high-pressure gaseous refrigerant, thus completing a refrigeration cycle.

In this process, the state of the refrigerant changes continuously, from gas to liquid, and then from liquid to gas, and the indoor air is cooled by absorbing and releasing heat. At the same time, when the indoor air passes through the evaporator, the heat in the air is absorbed by the refrigerant, and the temperature is reduced, thereby achieving the cooling effect.
